ARTICLE V
AMENDMENTS

SECTION 1. PROCEDURE
Any amendment to these Bylaws must be presented in open Chapter, after which, a committee shall be appointed to review and revise the amendment. A draft of the amendment will be submitted to the entire Advisory Council. If the proposed amendment is rejected by the Advisory Council, it will be sent back to the committee for further review and revision, then sent back to the Advisory Council, before presented to the Chapter to be voted on. If the proposed amendment is approved by the Advisory Council, it will be presented to the Chapter to be voted on.

SECTION 2. VOTING REQUIREMENTS
Prior to the vote, thirty days notice shall be given to all voting members. If the amendment receives a majority vote, but doesn't receive two-thirds of the vote, then the amendment shall be sent back to the committee for further review and revision. All amendments must be passed by a two-thirds vote in order to be adopted.

SECTION 3. COMMITTEE
The committee shall consist of two councilors and at least three other members. The member who submitted the proposed amendment will not be included in this committee.
