ARTICLE II
OFFICERS

SECTION 1. TERM OF OFFICE
The Master Councilor, Senior Councilor, Junior Councilor, and Scribe of the Chapter shall be elected every one year; on the first regularly scheduled meeting day of May and November.

SECTION 2. REQUIREMENTS FOR HOLDING OFFICE
(a) In order for a member to hold an office in this Chapter, all personal debts to the Chapter must be paid, and the member must have said both his Initiatory and DeMolay Degree queries. (b) The member must enroll in the Leadership Correspondence Course, Part 1, if not previously taken, within his term in order to be eligible to advance to the next office(c) Members intending to run for the office of Master Councilor, Senior Councilor, Junior Councilor, or Scribe must submit one typed letter of intent. .

SECTION 3. LETTER OF INTENT
(a) The letter must explain the candidates' qualifications and justification for running for the intended office. (b) The letter of intent should be submitted to the Advisory Council at least one month prior to the elections. (c) The submitted letters of intent for each office will be read twice in open chapter: the first reading to occur one business meeting prior to the election, and the second reading to occur at the meeting of the election.
